There are a couple of things that stood out to me in this piece.
"...until the distant murmur of a train stitches the moment back together."
Loved the use of the word stitch and the visual this line provides.
I also liked how the only capitalization is "I". I think keeping everything else lowercase helped with evoking the sense of insomnia or not feeling quite up to snuff to be proper with grammar.
